Dungar Blocklaying was established in 1998 by the company’s director Rob Dungar.

Rob first learned the masonry trade in 1982 in Melbourne VIC.  He quickly became competent in the intricate skill of bricklaying and started a business, employing his own bricklaying gang.

Rob moved the business to Cairns in 1985 where he furthered his knowledge of the trade and gained the skills of laying concrete Blocks.  Robs Blocklaying business thrived in Cairns, with a reputation of quality blockwork, completed quickly.

Dungar Blocklaying employs a gang of blocklayers & labours, numbers ranging from 5 to 25, depending on the size and complexity of the job.  Rob and his gang can competently run small residential jobs and large commercial projects.

Rob's qualifications include a Certificate IV in Building and Construction.  Rob's skills in the industry are extensive including;  understand complex plans, correctly setting out the job, predicting raw materials needed, communicating and coordinating with builders, suppliers, and other contractors. Rob's experience and skills makes Dungar Blocklaying a popular choice for commercial building companies.  Some of which, involved upwards of 500,000 blocks.
